Our next MPFN Socially Distanced Walk With Friends will be Sunday May 8, 2022 10 AM.
We will meet at the parking lot at the base of the Trotter Dike. That's the parking lot just east of the Visitor Center. The Trotter Dike is the north south dike at Tiny.
Our plan is to walk east along the Tiny Marsh Loop Trail which is usually a pretty good area for warblers and returning migrant birds in the spring.
We will aim for about a 2 hour out and back walk on easy trails.
Although the province is now gradually reopening and there is no limit on the number of people allowed to gather outdoors, we still need you to confirm your attendance at the outing by replying to this email. mpfieldnaturalists@ gmail.com
Other safety measures in effect at this outing as we try to keep our walks safe for all members:
We ask that only those who are fully vaccinated participate in our club outings. We count on the honesty of our members with respect to their vaccination status. Mask mandates have been lifted in Ontario, but we still recommend having a mask with you and wearing it when unable to socially distance. Individuals who do not feel well or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for Covid are asked not to participate in the outings.
We realize that many of our members are in the high-risk age group so we understand if some members may decide to give these opportunities a pass.
We ask you to look on these walks, not as official club outings, but rather low key get-togethers of friends to enjoy nature together.
We hope to see you on Sunday May 8th.
