David and Juliana Hawke welcome the MPFNC to participate in a guided walk-about on their farm near Coulson. In 2009 David and his father-in-law Matt Valk planted 28,000 trees on former pasture land.
These trees included black walnut, red oak, white pine, red pine and black cherry. In the succeeding years, both Matt and David have each earned the prestigious White Pine Award for Forest Stewardship from the Huronia Woodland Association.
For this visit David will lead us through the different compartments and give explanation to forest tending. Of note will be the influx of wildlife and fungus that have found a new place to live.

Located at 3490 Line 6 North, Oro-Medonte Township, their entrance lane is just a few hundred meters north-west of the Horseshoe Valley Road.   Rolling hills walking, trails well maintained.
