"Birding in Colombia"

Colombia has more bird species than any other nation on Earth. In fact, its species total is close to that of all of Africa! Caribbean lowlands, Pacific coastlines, the Andes mountains and rainforest lowlands: Colombia has it all!

The country's great diversity of birds fills these landscapes, with many birds unfamiliar to northerners, including spectacular hummingbirds and tanagers.

Nature Barrie members Ian Cook and Chris Evans joined four others in February 2019 to do a trip of a lifetime to Colombia, and they weren't disappointed. Hear how Colombia is experiencing a renaissance following several dark decades, including a burgeoning eco-tourism sector.

Please note the 7PM starting time is a little different than our normal meeting starting time.  We need to get Ian to the arena in time for his hockey game.  At least there will be no travel time to get to this event.

We will be sending more info about how to join us on Zoom along with a personal invitation to the meeting that you can click on to join.
