The limestone flats to the east of Brechin are so much more than potential quarry sites. Rare yet hardy botanical species are well established here, as are numerous birds that are normally hard to observe. This presentation will look at the variety of alvar habitats that can be found within the Carden Plain, and information shared as to what you are likely to encounter on your visit to this unique area.
